Study of Religion as part of Culture and Society Bachelor's Programme

The bachelor’s degree in Culture and Society offers the opportunity to combine two subject areas through a uniquely tailored integrated program. The mobility window incorporated in the program allows students to enjoy study abroad periods without compromising in-depth studies in their areas of focus. The Study of Religion subject area offers knowledge and expertise not only in historical and modern religious traditions, but also in such phenomena as fundamentalism, esotericism, spirituality, and atheism.

The solid technical and methodological education received as part of the undergraduate degree in the Study of Religion at the University of Bayreuth will serve as a springboard in your professional career and a foundation for continuing your studies on a graduate level.

The bachelor’s program consists of six semesters (180 ECTS). You can find more information about the program and the courses on the website of Culture & Society and in our course flyer. More details about the current selection of courses in the Study of Religion are available in the course catalogue.
